"A boundless blue evocative of the vast and infinite evening sky," explained Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, "it encourages us to look beyond the obvious, to expand our thinking, challenging us to think more deeply, and broaden our horizons.“ This is a harmonious and "warm" blue, reminiscent of the hue that the sky takes on immediately after sunset. The company has defined it a "timeless blue, elegant in its simplicity" that within the chromotherapy represents calm and tranquillity.

First of all, blue goes well with blue. A ton-sur-ton look gives elegance and composure with a touch of boldness. Among the many shades of blue, the one chosen by Pantone is not a cold colour, but a warm and relaxing nuance: so we don't have to be afraid to dare with Classic Blue in the house.

However, according to the "law" of colours, blue should be combined with the colours found at its opposite in the chromatic disc - such as orange, yellow, red - thus resulting in a strong and undoubtedly flashy colour combination.

This colour, however, can also be used to brighten up rooms through simple details, especially in fabrics, such as runners, curtains, pillows and sheets.

Classic Blue is a shade that stands out in a living room with light shades, such as beige or wood, so it can also be used to cover armchairs and sofas with natural fabric covers. In addition, the blue furnishing accessories are a great classic and focusing especially on those in glass and ceramic, such as vases and centerpieces, is always a good choice!
