As we start 2023, we have already turned our attention to the major interior design and architecture fairs that will be held this year and that will give us the opportunity to catch up on new trends, learn about new inspirations and not miss out on anything happening in the world of this dynamic and fascinating branch.

Architecture Biennial in Venice, Italy
20 May-26 November 2023
The 18th international architecture exhibition will be a 'laboratory of the future', curated by Lesley Lokko, founder of the African Futures Institute (AFI) in Accra, Ghana. The 'laboratory' he refers to and intends to highlight is Africa, the world's youngest and fastest growing continent.

Design Biennial in London, UK
1-25 June 2023
The fourth edition of this global exhibition is led this year by Aric Chen, artistic director of Het Nieuwe Instituut in the Netherlands. Chen asks designers to contribute to the year's common theme - The Global Game: Remapping Collaborations - by imagining new methods of international collaboration through the medium of design. It takes place at Somerset House.

Singapore Design Week

An annual 10-day hub for South-East Asian designers, SDW is also popular with European exhibitors. And the 'show' is concentrated in the city's National Design Centre, where all the main events and exhibitions are located, including extemporaneous pop-ups.

Manchester International Festival, UK
29 June-16 July 2023
With the new cultural space Factory International as the festival's new permanent home, there's one more reason to mark your calendar for this 18-day creative 'extravaganza' that fuses art with performance, music and design. Yayoi Kusama's new show "You, Me and the Balloons" will be launched on opening night in the Castlefield exhibition space.

Melbourne Design Week, Australia
18-28 May 2023
Australia's design capital draws from the country's best designers (and beyond) for an 11-day programme of exhibitions, talks and workshops run by a diverse group of professionals and creatives. The focus on collectible design drives this festival into the world's top ranks for conceptual and high-level work. It is a fantastic opportunity to connect not only with the industry, but also with the creative heart of the city itself.

Stockholm Furniture Fair 2023, Sweden
7-11 February 2023
The Stockholm Furniture Fair is the world's largest gathering of Scandinavian designers and suppliers. For several days, the halls will be filled with the largest, most innovative and remarkable Scandinavian furniture and lighting design for residential and commercial spaces. Salone del Mobile 2023, Italy
18-23 April 2023
If you can only attend one of these events, this is the one you really can't miss. The Salone del Mobile, scheduled from 18-23 April, is the world's premier opportunity to witness incredible interior design-focused events and to discover innovations, industry trends and new market launches. 3 Days of Design 2023, Denmark
7-9 June 2023
3daysofdesign provides a platform for its exclusive community of exhibitors to present new products, brands and projects - all obviously focused on the world of design and interior design. International buyers, stylists, journalists, architects, trendsetters and design enthusiasts make up the audience that 3daysofdesign has created for itself over the past decade of trade fairs. Join them from 7 to 9 June 2023.

Design Helsinki, Finland
23-24 August 2023
Design Helsinki opens its doors on 23 and 24 August to showcase the best of Nordic design. Immersive installations will line the streets, with curated exhibitions showcasing sophisticated brands and the latest products, accompanied by local food and drink from young, innovative brands. A topical conversation programme will also be launched. The fair honours local design showrooms in the area, welcoming architects, designers, interior designers, retailers, dealers and others with a rich programme of events.

Design Miami/Basel
13-18 June 2023
Design Miami/ is the global forum for design and a must on the interior design event calendar if you love art. Each fair brings together the world's most influential collectors, gallerists, designers, curators and critics to celebrate design culture and commerce. Coinciding with the Art Basel fairs in Miami (December) in the US and Basel, Switzerland (June), Design Miami/ has become the premier place to collect, exhibit, discuss and create collectible design.
