The Fil de Fer family is made up of moulded and woven aluminium lamps lit inside by tiny light bulbs. This family of lamps is Enzo Catellani's most cherished creation. It was created for a commission but did not meet the customer's expectations and was not used for that project. The lamp is then placed in his workshop but every time it is switched on it enchants everyone. Enzo Catellani then decided to continue working on this project to make changes and improve the product. Today the Fil de Fer is the most iconic of all lamps designed by Catellani & Smith.
