The Malamata family of lamps, whose name derives from the Israeli origin of the designers and the meaning in Hebrew of this word, 'up and down', is characterised by the possibility of varying the position of the diffuser in different heights. The lamp assumes the different positions through the use of a spherical counterweight with a button that allows adjustment. Acting on the button activates a spring, which causes the counterweight to move along the structure of the lamp and thus the tilting of the structure and the consequent change in height of the diffuser.
