Vetra pendant lamp by Marset
At first glance, Vetra may be nothing more than a traditional, old-fashioned blown glass lamp, but turn it on and you're in for a surprise. Joan Gaspar uses a fully enclosed glass diffuser as a reflector, and creatively places the light source outside - rather than inside - the shade. Vetra emits more light than expected, without glare. Most of the light is directed downwards, and the rest is filtered into the interior of the lampshade, subtly illuminating it.
