Funiculí S table lamp by Marset
Funiculí is a new edition of a lamp designed in 1979. Lluís Porqueras has always sought absolute simplicity in his designs, eliminating all superfluous things to leave the essence of the object useful and simple. 40 years later, Funiculí remains highly contemporary, both in its essential forms and in its features. The name Funiculí comes from the concept of a "funicular" action: moving up and down. The mechanism for raising and lowering the lamp uses a pair of clips that make it very easy to change the height of the shade to suit the customer's needs. The shade itself can be rotated 360º to point the light beam wherever it is needed. Funiculí's base is covered with rubber at the bottom to give the lamp stability.
