In 1952, on the shores of the Côte d'Azur, Le Corbusier built 'Cabanon': the absolute archetype of essential living. The project, built according to the rules of the Modulor, is located a few steps from the sea and served as a refuge for the architect in his last years of life. Lampe Cabanon, named after the inspired microcosm, is a symbol of architecture and design. The lampshade is made of tracing paper. The lamp, of which numerous sketches and drawings exist, represents a moment of rebirth in the post-war world.
