The watercolour drawings are hand-painted by the designer before being digitally edited to achieve the desired effect of multiple semi-transparent coloured layers. Ultimately, this technique allows the designer to work with form, enhancing the movement of colour and infusing the coffee table-mirror with the same sense of harmony that underlies the success of Francis mirrors. The watercolour designs are printed on the mirror base, which is then laminated, giving the Francis mirror-tablet greater visual depth and making it much more durable.
