The cyanotype process is a printing technique invented in 1842 in France. The cyanotypes are made on high quality cardboard paper covered with a photosensitive product. The subjects, carefully chosen in advance, will be exposed to sunlight on this paper. Rinsed with clean water, the process is interrupted to obtain a brilliant Prussian blue impression without ink. Since each cyanotype is made by hand, the shades of blue vary slightly and make the painting absolutely unique. They are mounted in natural wood frames with copper signature.
